fat-tailed flock before us with much hooting and hollering. I joined in and
made my own racket until hoarse from the exertion. I was a fairly pathetic shepherd,
it has to be said. Given charge of bringing into line one particularly
obstinate beast who had wandered off, I summoned every fearsome bone in my body
to frighten the animal back to the flock, but it merely looked at me and
continued chewing. I grabbed it by its woolly back and attempted to propel it
in the desired direction, but a fat-tailed sheep is no lightweight.”
